Collections and Stories

Muruca Racconta is a digital edition that aims to show examples of age-old literature such as fairy tales. The project includes a page dedicated to the fairy tales, with the possibility of displaying the translated and original text (when present), a page dedicated to the themes, i.e., the morals contained in each fairy tale, and a page dedicated to the paths that allow you to follow a particular narrative theme.

Furthermore, the project offers the possibility of viewing the fairy tales chronologically and geographically with a dedicated timeline and an interactive map. For more detailed information, please refer to the page dedicated to editorial criteria.

For a better understanding of the project, we have produced an explanatory video tutorial for Muruca Racconta, demonstrating its backend and frontend functionalities.

The project was carried out in collaboration with two trainees from the University of Pisa from the Digital Humanities course: Alessio Siragusa and Francesco Melighetti.
